Faymar was born in a small elvish village in the Greater Faydark region. Although her childhood was a happy one, she felt inhibited by the insular nature of the elves. The next town over was filled with lager louts who generally turned abusive with little provocation. Felwithe promised more sophistication, but she found the high elves more than a little snobbish and totally unwilling to accept her.

So she broke out at a young age, travelling across country until she got her first vision of the ocean, a moment she will never forget. She made her way across it to Freeport where she found that humans, rather than belittling her lack of education and stature, seemed quite enamoured of her elvish ways and scanty dress. A rogue barbarian also noticed her popularity and quickly took her under his wing.

Luckily, her plight was noticed by the League of Antonican Bards who took her off the street and offered her the first home she'd known since she'd left her parents tree. She became as enamoured of music as she had been of human men. The bards taught her everything they could, despite her obvious lack of talent, and she committed herself to travelling the world delivering mail. Despite the attempts of the bards to teach her the benefits of modesty and reserve she has never really lost her flirtatious manner and tendency towards small leather outfits. Her lute playing is very basic and she's basically completely tone deaf but somehow she does get small audiences, especially in male-dominated outposts where female company is hard to find.

She doesn't have many close friends but has accumulated a large number of acquaintances. The bards still keep an eye on her when they can. They do feel she spends a bit too much time with a with an unsavoury troll shaman she seems to have a soft spot for.
